Sports Day 2026

Sports Day took place on Wednesday 6 May, at Cheltenham's Prince of Wales Stadium. More than 800 students joined in this festival of sporting challenge; it was a brilliant day.

Mrs Collins, Head of PE, said
"What an amazing day for our school community. From the moment events began, every student threw themselves into the House Running and Jumping with excellent House Spirit. The level of competition was outstanding, with several school records broken in the process. Just as impressive were the students who supported all day by helping on events and cheering from the track edge, creating a great atmosphere throughout. I couldn’t be more proud of the school and the way everyone contributed to a brilliant celebration of sport."

Congratulations to York House, awarded Winners of Sports Day. York House Officials said,
"Pate’s Sports Day 2026 at the Prince of Wales Stadium was a fantastic day and a great opportunity for the whole school to get involved and show their best House Spirit! There was a wide variety of events to take part in throughout the day, such as the 200m sprint and triple jump. However, the whole-House events such as House Jumping were also a great highlight and brought everyone together. The atmosphere was so supportive, with students cheering each other on and not being afraid to take part. But, of course, as York House Officials, our favourite part had to be receiving the greatly sought-after Pate’s Sports Day Shield at the end of the day - a great victory!"
