Junior Sports Tour
Our Year 8 and 9 girls had a brilliant 3 days in Wales on their Junior Sports Tour in March. Year 9 students Aadhya, Nitika and Tanusha share their experience,
"The sports tour was an incredibly fun and rewarding experience that we will always remember. From the moment we arrived, there was a great sense of excitement and teamwork. On the first day of our tour, we travelled to Cardiff and had the opportunity to explore the impressive sports facilities at Cardiff Met University, where current students guided us around and shared their experiences. This was followed by an exciting hockey training session led by professional coaches, which challenged us while helping us develop our skills. Later in the day, we played a netball match at a warehouse that had been transformed into a netball club, which made the experience even more memorable, and we ended the day with bowling, dinner, and time to relax together.
On the second day, we took part in netball training and played a hockey match, continuing to develop our teamwork and skills. In the evening, we enjoyed dinner at an Italian restaurant, which was a great chance to spend more time together as a team. We visited Go Ape on Day 3 on the way back to school, which was a really fun and exciting way to end the trip.
Throughout the tour, every activity helped us grow both individually and as a group, and we especially enjoyed spending time with our teammates off the field, as it brought us closer together and created lasting memories. We also learned a lot about communication, discipline, and the importance of supporting each other, even during challenging moments.
Overall, it was not only enjoyable but also a valuable opportunity to develop our skills and confidence. We are all very grateful to Mrs Taylor for organising such an amazing trip, and it will always be one that we will never forget."
