Organised by Cheltenham Camera Club, and the supported by Cheltenham Arts Council and Cheltenham Round Table, this year's competition attracted 916 entries from 48 primary and secondary schools across the county.

Entries were judged by Janice Clark, Martin Fry and Saul Scott.  The judges were most impressed by the range of subject matter from plants to insects, from cities to wonderful landscapes, all making the judging challenging in selecting 125 images for each of the Primary & Secondary Shows.

This year's venue for the audio-visual showing of the selected works and award ceremony was The Bacon Theatre at Dean Close School. The venue provided fantastic large scale projection facilities with wonderful sound enabling the GYP organisers to invite students with selected images as well as the Award winners.

500 students, parents/carers and teachers filled the theatre. In attendance was the Mayor of Cheltenham, Councillor Dr David Willingham, Milan Dragojlovic, Chair of Cheltenham Round Table and Sue Silcock, Chair of Cheltenham Arts Council.

Well done to all who took part and congratulations go to all the award winners. The Best School Entry Cups were awarded to Gastrells Community Primary and Sir Thomas Rich’s School. From Pate's, congratulations to Bron (Year 12), who won Commended.
