Clubs and Outdoor Education
We have a wealth of extracurricular opportunities to get involved with at Pate’s Sixth Form:
- PE in Sixth Form – Sport plays an important role in Sixth Form. All Y12s are expected to participate in Games each week. We have a range of teams to cater from the elite to recreational player and we encourage all students to get involved. You can find out more about Sports at Pates here.
- Extracurricular Music – We have a flourishing and welcoming Music department at Pate’s. Many ensembles meet during lunchtime and after school. Music tuition is also available. Last year Sixth Formers had the chance to be involved in more than 14 concerts organised throughout the year.
- Drama and LAMDA Exams – Drama is a valued part of the school that many students get involved with. A whole school production happens every December with students taking a variety of roles. Sixth Formers are also invited to run Drama Clubs for the younger year groups. Students can also sign up for lessons for a range of LAMDA examinations.
- Outdoor Education –
- CCF – The Combined Cadet Force is a great leadership opportunity in Sixth Form. Take part in shooting, flying and other military exercises.
- DofE – Enter the Gold Level of Duke of Edinburgh at Sixth Form.
- You can find out more about these opportunities here.
- Climbing Club – We run climbing courses using our on site climbing walls, these are led by our Outdoor Education Department.
