Celebrating Ofsted’s Visit

Pate’s Grammar School are celebrating our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place in March.  We are particularly proud that the inspectors’ report really captures the essence of Pate’s and the exceptional education that we share.

Of our teaching and learning experience, the report notes:
‘There is a balance of high expectations and extensive support… pupils flourish in this nurturing environment.’

‘As staff know pupils so well, they tailor learning to support pupils’ needs… as a result pupils make excellent progress.’

Of our super-curricular offering:
‘There is an exceptional array of opportunities for pupils to pursue interests and develop talents… During lunch time and after school, Pate’s buzzes with activity.’

Of our school community, belonging and futures:
‘In this school everyone is accepted and cultural differences are celebrated… The school is highly inclusive… Pupils behave well because they know it is the right thing to do.’

Pupils ‘thrive academically and personally. This is underpinned by pupils’ sense of responsibility to the school and community. Pupils, and students in the sixth form, leave Pate’s as ambitious, compassionate and well-rounded individuals.’

Headteacher Dr James Richardson says,
“Our Ofsted inspection report is testament to the hard work, passion and commitment our students and staff demonstrate to Pate’s every day, and to the families and governors which support that.  We are delighted with the outcome of the Inspection and the detail in the report which evidences firsthand that Pate’s Grammar School delivers – in every respect – an outstanding educational experience.”
