The Pate’s Society

Connections Lead to Opportunities

The Pate’s Society was formed to incorporate, in one organisation, the societies of former pupils of Pate’s Grammar School for Girls and Cheltenham Grammar School for Boys. The society came into being in 1986 when the Girls’ School vacated its premises in Albert Road to share the Boys’ School building in Princess Elizabeth Way, to become the alumni organisation representing former pupils of all three schools. A very warm welcome awaits any former pupils wishing to join the Society.

The Pate’s Society is now looking to the future to ensure it evolves to benefit former pupils from the current Pate’s Grammar School and both of its single sex predecessors, whether through social events or networking opportunities. It also exists to help support Pate’s in a variety of ways. The Society ensures that joining Pate’s Grammar School can be a lifetime involvement in the school and its community. We are ready to warmly welcome the young men and women who leave Pate’s each year; once a Patesian, always a Patesian.

The Pate’s Society is also responsible for the school archives, a treasure chest of old school records, publications and photos. Further information can be found on the dedicated archives page.
