Open Evening

Sixth Form Open Evening 2022

Tuesday 25th January 2022

Our Open Evening will take place on Tuesday 25th January, from 5pm to 8pm.  There is no need to book.

To reduce the risk of Covid transmission we are asking, where possible, that only one parent per student attends.  We also ask that attendees wear a mask and carry out an LFT before arrival to reduce the risk of Covid transmission.

We thank you in advance for your help with this.

On the evening there will be Head’s talks at 5.30pm and 7pm.  These will be video recorded and put on the website.  You will also be able to take a tour of the school and meet members of staff.

Please allow time for parking in the surrounding area as there will be limited parking onsite (apologies that, due to the time of year, we are unable to park cars on the field).

We look forward to welcoming you to our school.

Any questions can be addressed to the Sixth Form Admissions Manager, Mrs Amey, on

Sixth Form Virtual Open Evening 2021

We were unable to welcome you to the school last year, but we hope that you will find the material we produced for you a useful and inspiring introduction to Pate’s Sixth Form.

We prepared a range of films and information which can be accessed on this page.

As well as introductory films from our Headmaster, Head of Sixth Form and Head of Year 12, you will also find films from staff and students which cover all aspects of life at Pate’s from extra-curricular opportunities to Pastoral support and careers guidance.

Each department produced a film, some information about A Level studies, and a selection of quotes from sixth form students to give you an insight into each subject, and what it is like to study at A Level. These can be found in the Department Information section. You will also find a contact email for each department so that if, after you have watched the film and read all the information, you have further questions, you can get in touch with Heads of Department.

Finally, we would like to give you a guided tour of both the Sixth Form and the main school, and you will find two films which showcase the facilities on offer, hosted by our very own Archie Johnston, one of our Y12 students.
