We ended 2018 with the handover of the brand new Sixth Form Centre which houses a dedicated senior library, group and private study spaces, staff offices and a strength and conditioning suite. Our new Sixth Form Centre will further enhance our Sixth Form provision and is an exciting new addition to the school. The building incorporates the Tatum block, which housed existing Sixth Form subject classrooms; this really gives the Sixth Form students an area that they can call their own.
From the start of 2019 it really has seemed that the new Sixth Form Centre has always been here, with the students making use of the new facilities and spaces available to them. We have a more informal area on the ground floor where students can eat and socialise, as well as studying. On the first floor the space is a designated study space with banks of computers and study areas for individual or group work. The second floor houses our Senior Library with study spaces and computers for quiet study. The library is also open to year 10 and 11 students who make use of the space during library lesson as well as at break time, lunch time and after school.
